Angela and Brenna both have 3b curls. On paper, they have the same hair but they use completely different products.
The finished look is similar, but their scalps need different things and their strands behave differently. Angela washes with Mystic Aura Shampoo and Conditioner, then styles with Apple Aura Curl Serum. Brenna washes with Aqua Aura Shampoo and conditioner, then uses Aqua Aura Curl Cream. The only thing they share is the Mystic Aura Styling Gel.

Really hydrating for my frizzy, thirsty curls! I'm usually not a fan of scents, but the scent for these smells great. The floral notes are like a beautiful summer's day. The bars are both really easy to use and feels way less wasteful than a bottle. My only con is that the conditioner will make the shower floor slippery. I have non slip adhesives on the floor so it's fine, but it is something to know ahead of time.

I held off on trying this gel for a long time because of the price and size of the jar. I kept seeing claims that "a little goes a long way," but I was skeptical. I've used products that make this claim before and I've always had to use more than what's "recommended" to get the result I'm looking for. HOWEVER, I finally decided to try this gel and it's genuinely amazing! I was previously using a flaxseed gel and I'm using about half the amount of product that I used to while still getting incredible hold. This gel doesn't weigh my hair down at all or leave the flaky residue that was apparently coming from my old gel (I just thought I had dandruff 🤷🏼♀️). I'm so glad I tried this and will for sure buy a refill pouch when I start to run low. Angela is a wizard and I'm SO grateful I found her booth at the Ren Faire two years ago. Truly life changing.

Ours do. Our shampoo bars are made with gentle cleansers that remove buildup effectively but leave your hair soft rather than stripped or waxy. They're pH balanced for hair and scalp, and they lather well.
Our conditioners glide on and emulsify right away, so you get slip immediately, with curl-supporting proteins and different levels of moisture depending on what your strands need.
One 2.5 oz bar is equal to about 24 oz of liquid, so a set lasts a long time.

Start with your scalp. Is it oily, dry, sensitive, flaky, or prone to buildup? That's what picks your shampoo.
Then your strands. Fine, coarse, thirsty, slow to dry, color-treated? That's what picks your conditioner.
Those two answers often point to different lines, and that's normal. Your scalp and your strands are separate, so your shampoo and conditioner don't have to match. Not sure where you land?

The serum and the cream are both leave-in moisture. Apple Aura Curl Serum is lightweight, hydrating with hyaluronic acid rather than heavy butters and oils, for fine curls that get weighed down. Aqua Aura Curl Cream is rich and buttery, for dry, coarse curls that soak up everything you give them.
Mystic Aura Styling Gel is the hold. It dries to a strong cast, which is what keeps your clumps from separating while your hair dries, then scrunches out to soft curls with frizz control and humidity protection.
Use a leave-in on its own for softer definition, the gel on its own for hold without extra moisture, or layer the gel over either one.

Most hair care gets formulated at a distance. Someone develops a formula, a marketing team writes the claims, and a factory makes it.
We're the same people at every step. I formulate our products. The claims come from what curly people tell us in person, constantly, about what their hair is actually doing. And we make every batch ourselves, in our own facility with our own team in Oregon.
Tens of thousands of conversations have taught us the same thing: curl type doesn't tell you much. Two people with 3b curls can need completely different products, because what actually matters is what your scalp needs, how your strands behave, and what you want your curls to do. So we formulate each product to do one job, then help you combine them.

Yes, and that's a lot of who we make these for. Fine, wavy hair is one of the hardest types to shop for, because most curl products are built heavy and will flatten it.
Our lighter formulas are made specifically for strands that get weighed down. And fine doesn't mean your hair isn't dry. Mystic Aura exists for exactly that combination, hydrating but with a clean washout, so you get the moisture without the weight.
Waves count too. Everything we make works from loose waves through tighter curls.

Today, we’re still formulating and manufacturing our products here, with a growing team behind them and tens of thousands of real curl conversations shaping how we work.
The distance between the customer, the people making the decisions, and the people making the products is still very short here.
